May 13, 201214 yr I get memtest errors when I run both sticks of memory, but I get no errors when I run only one stick of memory. I've tried each stick individually and both work fine by themselves. Anyone have an explanation of what could be my trouble? I'm running this memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139262 In this motherboard (Supermicro X8SIL-F) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182211 When attempting to run with both sticks, I use the two blue memory slots (1st and 3rd from the top).

I don't know this particular version of MB, but usually memory modules are seated as pairs next to each other (bank A and bank B). You can try to place the modules either in slots 1&2 or 3&4. In the BIOS configuration keep everything on automatic settings for your memory.

Blue slots are correct, DIMM1A and DIMM2A. See page 2-10 of the manual. You should contact Supermicro. Their support is very good.
