July 3, 20251 yr I am running Stable UnRaid 7.1.4 and my system is not starting up. It boots but when I tell it to start the array it doesn't want to startup. It looks like it is trying to mountthe cache drives. It has been stuck with the zfs Mounting message for a couple of days.Device Identification Temp Reads Writes Errors FS Size Used FreeCache CT1000MX500SSD1_2434E988D1A5 - 1 TB (sdc) 33 °C 0.0 B/s 0.0 B/s 0 zfs MountingCache 2 CT1000MX500SSD1_2434E988D1A7 - 1 TB (sdg) 26 °C 0.0 B/s 0.0 B/s 0 Pool of two devices 30 °C 0.0 B/s 0.0 B/s 0 at the bottom of the page I have: Array Starting•Mounting disks... I have a 4TB Parity drive configured. If I try to start a console using the >_ button, I get colorful garbage with no way to interact with the shell.I did just replace my system memory, since the memtest86 was showing a bunch of errors. (bumpedfrom 32Gb to 64Gb).I ran "Fix common problems" and it is showing:Errors Found Suggested Fix cache2 (CT1000MX500SSD1_2434E988D1A7) is disabled Begin Investigation Here: "Unraid Main"cache (CT1000MX500SSD1_2434E988D1A5) has file system errors () If the disk if XFS / REISERFS, stop the array, restart the Array in Maintenance mode, and run the file system checks. ZFS Master is not showing any pools.I tried running "zpool scrub cache" and it ran for multiple days without completing.I have attached the diagnostics file below.I am not sure of what to try next. I would like to keep my data drives intact. tower-diagnostics-20250630-0051.zip

Applications may be affected.Start by running memtest, if nothing is found, see if the pool mounts read-only, disable array auto-start, reboot, then type zpool import -o readonly=on cacheP.S. after a zfs pool has been suspended, you will need to force a reboot, won't be able to do a normal one.
July 4, 20251 yr Author Passed the memtest. Was able to mount the cache and disk3 readolny. Rebooted and had the same issues. When I ran "zpool status -v" i got a few Permanent errors on both the cache and disk3:zpool.log
July 4, 20251 yr Community Expert Solution If they mount read-only, you can try and copy the data to other disks/pools, then reformat those.
July 5, 2025Jul 5 Author Everything is working again. Copying the data to a different disk and reformatting did the trick. Thanks for the help.
