August 4, 2025Aug 4 Hi! I bought two new SSD disks to replace the ones I have.I have two Kingston SSD in raid1 with ZFS, and want to replace them with two WD Blue. The server is a HP DL380P Gen 8, it has hotswap so I never reboot when replacing disks, maybe this could be the problem with SSD and not HDD?So I stopped the array, unassigned ONE Kingston SSD, swapped it but the WD Blue never shows up? If I put the Kingston back it shows up immediately. So I tried the WD blue in a windows machine and it works perfectly. Then I tried to put the WD blue in a usb case and plugged it in unraid, and it works perfectly with this too. But not when replacing the Kingston. What am I doing wrong?Oh and I’m running Unraid 6.12.9I read something about it could be a driver problem and I need to update to Unraid 7 because it uses something different? I could have misreading.. Edited August 4, 2025Aug 4 by cloudstrife
August 4, 2025Aug 4 It should not be a driver issue; please post the diagnostics after connecting one of the new SSDs. Note that you may need to refresh the GUI for it to show up, and the array must be stopped.

But if I put the disk in a usb case, plug it in unraid and refresh, it shows up. And of course the array is stoppedI checked the logs live when I plug in the disk and the only thing that shows up is something like ”HP smart SSD configuration changed” and nothing more happens.I will attach the diagnostics when I have time to replace the disk again Edited August 4, 2025Aug 4 by cloudstrife
