Hi,

I am using unraid 7.1.4 and have the issue, that my flashdrive keeps getting filled, until I cannot login into my unraid webGUI (mostly after a couple of days) and have to reboot the NAS. This also affects connected windows PCs, as the network drive is no longer available prior to rebooting. I didn´t have this issue with version 6.x of unraid.

I attached the syslog - please let me know if any other diagnostics are needed.

Do you have the mirror to syslog option enabled? Also, post the complete diagnostics.

No, that is one thing that could write to the flash drive; other than that, Unraid will only update cfg files, and the used space should not increase.

Post the output from:

du -hd 2 /boot

Then again, once the flash drive's used space increases noticeably.

the issue just occured again. I could not login. The login page displays, but when I enter my credentials, the same login page is reloaded rather than displaying the menu/dashboard. nginx -t shows no error. I entered your command. The first screenshot is from the state where I couldn‘t login, the second one after reboot, when the login worked again.

On this screenshot, it doesn‘t seem to be a space error, however in the logs I saw something like „drive full“. Rebooting always resolves the issue.

The flash drive's total usage is the same 2 GiB. Where are you seeing that the flash drive is full?

There are some "drive full" messages in the previously posted diags but nothing suggests it's about the flash drive.

No drives there show as full. Try reposting diagnostics after it fails again (you can type diagnosticswhile connected via ssh and grab the file from the flash drive in the logs folder after a shutdown).

ok, will do. any other thoughts on why the login might fail (login page keeps refreshing after submitting credentials)?

Does this always happen or just sometimes? Did you try using a different browser?

always using chrome and happens constantly after the update to 7.x. Login stops working after a couple of days. nginx -t still shows no errors.

The syslog you posted originally appears to be after a reboot. Enable the syslog server and post that after the next time the issue occurs.

Yep, you have something writing to RAM, most likely a container; check all the mappings.
