ZFS drive replacement help

Featured Replies

I replaced a hard drive in a ZFS mirror and the newly replaced drive has a blue square icon next to it saying it's "new". I read somewhere that means the drive it being rebuilt, but there is no I/O on the array and the output of: zpool status <pool> -v shows the drive simply as "online" like the others. Not sure how to clear it to make it green again and it's been several days. Thanks

Attach Diagnostics ZIP to your NEXT post in this thread.

Typically you just need to reimport the pool to fix that, but post the diags first as mentioned to confirm the pool is OK.

Attached as requested. I replaced sde, I'm aware of the issue with sdf, it seems to be something different I'm dealing with.

Reimporting the pool should fix the icon issue:

on main click on the first device for that pool and then "remove pool"

back on main, create a new pool with the same name and number of slots

assign the pool device(s), any order, leave the filesystem set to auto

start the array to import the pool
