September 23, 2025Sep 23 Looking for some advice. I restored a backup to a new flash drive and when it boots it seems to freeze up on loading bzimage. Boots fine from old flash drive still, but it's super old and I just want to replace it. I've tried with a few different flash drives and same thing happens each time. Any help is appreciatedalso if i try just doing a fresh install and move just the CONFIG folder over would that folder contain everything i need as if nothing ever happened when switching over?

September 23, 2025Sep 23 Author I have tried a fresh os with my config and still doing the same thing. Just sitting at bzimage ... And the _ line flashing so it's not locked up just sitting there.
September 23, 2025Sep 23 Author Ok so instead of using a backup I manually copied all files on the flash drive. Now it gets passed bzimage but freezes on bzroot. I find this all weird...

September 24, 2025Sep 24 @nikkinrob : I'm about to do the same bc my USB flash is super old, and I don't dare rely on it much longer. So did using another USB fix it? I hope just copying is all I need to do 🤞

September 24, 2025Sep 24 Author So i continued my tinkering switching between UEFI boot and Bios (Currently only Bios boots for my original USB) and i have been doing the Flag on the EFI folder on and off, im still having no luck at all. I also tried a different USB port. ill continue to tinker as time goes on as I really wanted this to work. and now im getting scared that its not working.
