TDARR AV1 Encoding issue - Launching subworker Error

Featured Replies

Uninstalled an old dying 1660 TI(encoding to x265) and installed a Intel Arc B580(encoding to AV1).

Followed instructions from : https://github.com/plexguide/Unraid_Intel-ARC_Deployment?tab=readme-ov-file#adding-the-intel-arc-gpu-to-the-plex-docker-template

Unable to get that flow to work and switch to "TDarr_plugin_d5d3_iiDrakeii_FFMPEG_NVENC_Tierd_MKV" and still unable to encode to AV1.

@Dustin Turner Hey, I just got my ARC A380 and went from a Quadro P2000 with the intent of switching from hvec to av1. I followed the same guide you did and noticed there was some errors with the flow. Here's the adjusted flow in the txt file and a shot of my TDarr Docker settings. Sorry no one got back to you. Unraid community isn't the most responsive for being as popular as it is.

Battlemage GPUs aren't fully supported in the current 6.12 unraid kernel.

You will need to wait until unraid jumps to the next LTS kernel.

Battlemage GPUs got full support in the 6.14 linux kernel. Unraid uses LTS kernels which are still currently on 6.12.XX

The B580 is not supported by Unraid. I bought one thinking this but found out that it is not supported. I had an A310 working perfectly and just wanted more encoding speed. Good news though... I didn't give up. I have AV1 encoding working in Tdarr on Unraid as well as Jellyfin transcoding using the B580. Can't get Plex to actually use the B580 even though it is visible to Plex. Happy to help anyone get it working. I had to install Thor's Kernel and put a good few days of reading errors and figuring shit out. I also have a few AV1 Flows for Tdarr that are pretty awesome, that I've hand built, just for the B580. Happy to share my experience and any logs. You will need to run Thor's Kernel and the other intel driver.
