Mover problems

Featured Replies

I've been using Unraid for the last week or so and I've noticed a problem with the mover. I have several shares that write to the SSD cache drive first before moving over to the array. I've noticed on numerous occasions that not all of the files are moved over. When I try to manually move them across I get this error -

rsync: [sender] read errors mapping Input/output error (5) WARNING: failed verification -- update discarded (will try again).

All of the disks appear to be in good health. Has anyone else run in to this problem?

Cache drive - NVMe 1TB WDC_WDS100T2B0C

Thanks for any help

Hi @trurl , thanks for the response.

I saw on another thread that I should run a memtest, so I went ahead and did that - it found loads of errors. I've since replaced the sticks, ran another memtest and now I'm not getting any errors.

The mover is successfully moving all files across, however, I'm seeing BTRFS critical errors in my log - 'kernel: BTRFS critical (device nvme0n1p1): unable to find chunk map for logical 2906649526272 length 25776128'

I assume this is probably related to the dodgy memory I had installed previously. Just wondering what you suggest I do from here?

Thanks

Bad memory can create havoc with filesystems, especially Btrfs. I would recommend backing up and recreating the pool.

@JorgeB thanks, I did that and it's working fine now.
