Network Issues

Featured Replies

Hi! A Few days ago I tried to install something from the community applications (Headscape docker image) but at the moment I didn't have time to properly look at the configs so I went away, when I returned to it a few hours later, community apps didn't load, tried different DNS servers, reboots, and stuff, and the more that I tried to debug the issue the weirder it got, so here I am looking for some help.

From the console (physically) I could ping other computers from my network (let's say 192.168.0.3) successfully but could not ping the gateway 192.168.0.254 at all, neither could ping 8.8.8.8 or google.com or any other ip or address I could think of (which from the other computer I could ping so I know I had connection)

The docker containers I have running are accesible from within my network normally,

I upgraded from 7.1.2 to 7.1.4 manually with the usb tool since I had no connection.

I erased the network.cfg and booted

I copied the contents of another unraid server I have running in another location

I chased rabbits with Google's AI suggestions... nothing.

Please help?

Try booting with a different flash drive using a stock install, no key needed, then see if you can install CA. That should confirm if it's a config problem or an external network issue.

Rebooting modem and router may be in order.

Well, tried the stock install on a different drive and I worked out of the box, the only clear difference I saw was that stock IPV4 is defaulted to DHCP and I had it Static, so I went back to my Installation, changed to DHCP and noticed that IP Changed from the 0.10 that should be, went to the DHCP Leases in my pfSense Firewall and there was a mistake in the MAC of my LAN, changed it, and now It gets assigned the correct IP and I have connection. Why I could have Share access, and docker access is beyond me, but clearly it was a routing problem that is now solved.

Thanks!
