[7.2.0] Can not change primary storage for user share to array

Featured Replies

I just updated from 7.1.4 to 7.2.0, and my main user share does not appear any more as a SMB neither on macOS nor on windows. It seems that now the primary storage for that share is cache, and not array as it should be. But I can not change the primary storage. What can I do?

No idea why a share should no longer show up - that is not normal.

You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread and mention the name of the problem share.

It is always a good idea to include diagnostics to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.

I added the diagnostic file. What I did not mention: the share isos is visible on macOS and Windows, but not Data-Vader.

It's a case problem, rename /config/shares/data-vader.cfg to have the same case as the share name. Note that you cannot rename inplace since the flash drive is FAT, another option is to delete that file from the flash drive, then reapply the share settings, and it will create a new correct cfg file.

Thank you very much. I renamed /boot/config/shares/data-vader.cfg to Data-Vader.cfg by two mv-commands. Everything works now.
