Reset USB Key

Featured Replies

Hello: Just wanted to confirm.

What's the easiest/Best way to reset a USB Key from an existing server as if a new setup, without screwing around with licensing?

I want to retire an existing server and set up a new one on different hardware/new name/drives, etc.

I know that the new config resets the drives but leaves all of the config info/dockers / apps. etc.

If I copy the key file or download the key using Connect, and then recreate the USB from scratch and then just copy the key file back, will this work?

Thank you

Backup the config folder from the current flash drive, recreate it using the USB tool, and if you don't want to restore anything other than the license, copy the key file from the backup to the /config folder of the recreated flash.

Excellent, and thank you.
