Hello im in a pickle. Im on 6.12.13 im running a scan disk 16gb flash. Its reading 100% full.

Im unable to make a flash backup thru thru the gui. I can't create an online backup either. (No space on drive)

Windows doesnt recognize the flash (freezes up file explorer) so repair isn't an option.

I changed the share and copied the whole flash drive over was under 2gb.

Whats my best course of action? After trying it in a windows machine it took 3 boots till I finally got it back on so now im scared lol.

See if you can copy the config folder; that's all you need, and if the GUI is still up, take a screenshot of the device assignments in case you need to reassign them.

OK im further down the youtube rabbit hole.

I noticed this during a rebuild of one of my parity drives today 12/05/2025 it finished successfully. So im guessing a backup of my flash from October wouldn't really help me.

How does this sound for my attack?

Get new USB stick (one that has EMP attack protection)

Use USB creator (doesn't usb creator use the most recent os version? is this gonna be an issue im on 6.12.13?)

Copy old config folder to new usb stick.

restore apps backup via CA for dockers.

USB tool can create older releases; 6.12.13 won't be available, but 6.12.15 should be. You can also take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest; your config should still work fine there.

This won't be needed if you copy the complete config folder from the flash .
