January 1Jan 1 Recently (within the last 2 days) I get a 502 error when trying to connect to my Unraid GUI. Connecting a monitor solves the issue, but I've never had to connect a monitor before. While performing some tests earlier, I also noticed that I couldn't access any of my Proxmox LXCs that were using Unraid SMB shares unless Unraid was connected to a monitor. Considering that the LXCs are hosted on a completely different machine, I'm at a loss for what might be causing the issue. For now, I have a monitor connected and I see that version 7.2.3 is out so maybe an upgrade would solve the issue? The strangest thing to me is that I haven't changed anything in my config. One day it didn't need a monitor, and the next day it did. Any help would be appreciated. Happy to send whatever logs or output is needed to troubleshoot. Thanks,
January 2Jan 2 Community Expert Are you trying to connect using the server name or the IP address? Also, you seem to be having constant (ECC) memory errors (corrected?). Better if you fix that instead of constantly relying on error correction.
January 2Jan 2 Author I'm using the IP address. I wasn't even aware of the memory errors. Any advice on how to go about troubleshooting those? Edited January 2Jan 2 by curiousg76
January 3Jan 3 Author I bought another stick of RAM to see if that's the issue. Any thoughts on why I might need a monitor connected? I updated to 7.2.3 and the issue persists.

Do you know if that has any merit? If so, I may have to go through all my hardware. I've also seen things that say that dust buildup can cause errors as well and I'm due for a cleaning. I'll clean it this evening and get back.

January 7Jan 7 Author Solution The ECC error was due to a faulty RAM stick. I have a KVM on my NAS now so there is always an HDMI connected anyway and I don't mind if it requires one. Thanks for the help! Edited January 7Jan 7 by curiousg76
January 7Jan 7 Community Expert Just an FYI in the future, memtest should be ran for an extended period of time to really root out memory issues. Most often is suggested to run at least 24hours.
