Hard Drive Space Filling

Featured Replies

I am having an issue where I have to HDD that are filling to the point that there are just KB of space on them, I have my array set to "high water" and there is a new drive that has 11TB of space that I just put in. How can I stop those drives from filling up? How can I see why they are in the first place? Please Help

What settings do you have set for the minimum free space requirements in the shares? Maybe you could increase that to force use of the new disk??

i have it set to 500GB it was set to 1GB for some reason.

It's probably your split levels, if theyre too restrictive unraid wont write files to new disks even if minimum free space is surpassed since split level takes precedence.

How would i check that

Click on the share name, check the split level setting, same place you set minumum free space on each share.

Would you be willing to share a screenshot of your dashboard and post the diagnostics?

Yeah I think having it set to 1GB was likely your issue, I dont see anything else that would cause this.

You can see two of your shares do have data on disk6
