August 19Aug 19 Before doing any RMA of the HDD I wanted to check here what below means, where my parity drive keeps throwing the below error.The SMART log does not show any errors and performing a pre-clear where it reads and writes all sectors works fine, but after it has been as a parity drive for a day or two the below error comes up, disabling the parity drive.I would assume the drive is faulty, but what I think is strange is the fact that the pre-clear works fine.Is the drive most likely faulty or is something else potentially the problem here?

August 26Aug 26 Unfortunately the log is being spammed with UPS issues; the read errors are not logged or the syslog rotated. Since SMART looks good, my first recommendation would be to swap cables/slots with a different disk, resync parity, and see where the issue follows if it happens again.
August 26Aug 26 Author Ah, those UPS issues started showing after I already replaced my UPS. Cannot seem to get them to disappear.Allright, I will try a different cable and controller card and see if that solves it.Thank you.
