My parity drive keeps throwing I/O errors

Featured Replies

Before doing any RMA of the HDD I wanted to check here what below means, where my parity drive keeps throwing the below error.

The SMART log does not show any errors and performing a pre-clear where it reads and writes all sectors works fine, but after it has been as a parity drive for a day or two the below error comes up, disabling the parity drive.

I would assume the drive is faulty, but what I think is strange is the fact that the pre-clear works fine.

Is the drive most likely faulty or is something else potentially the problem here?

Please post the diagnostics

Certainly.

The whole .zip file or are specific files of interest?
