4 hours ago4 hr I have recently swapped from a gt970 gpu for an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT. However, I am having issues getting it passed though. Normally, I would bind the gpu to boot, select it as graphics including the sound and then start up the vm. Except it does not work. I have tried dumping and using the vbios, Disabling frame buffers and using video=efifb:off modprobe.blacklist=amdgpu all which have no effect. The VM does start fine but I see in display on windows 11 settings as AMD Vdisplay and not my normal display. When I do turn on my display, its looks very glitchy and strange as per my image attached. it is not a cable problem or anything as the display port cable is plugged directly from the gpu into the monitor. i have also tried hdmi as well. Sometimes i do get the following error message, when booting the vm. If i boot normal bare metal, then everything works fine without issue. But boot as a vm, this is where the problems start, so there is no hardware problems. This is the only gpu in the system which is also what unraid uses and I have tried running, lspci -k -s 2d:00.0 2d:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Navi 44 [Radeon RX 9060 XT] (rev c0) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device 063d Kernel driver in use: vfio-pci Kernel modules: amdgpuI have never had this much trouble as I have with any NVIDIA card. However, I am not sure if it has anything to do with the amd reset bug. I did try the @SpaceInvaderOne video on the amd reset card but does not seam to work at all. For anyone who has this particular card in their unraid system. How did get it to successfully pass though and work. I have tried this Reddit post without any difference https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/comments/1j52fkc/unable_to_pass_through_amd_rx_9070_xt/However, I don't know if the gpu and sound has to be in 1 iommu group or what?Any thoughts or advice please?Thank you.
