network issue switching from wifi card to onboard network interface

Hi! New to unraid here and loving it so far, but I have run up against a network issue that I can't seem to resolve. I have recently moved and found i no longer need to use wifi as I had been before. I removed the wifi card from my server and restarted it in my new place with a network cable plugged into the onboard port. I was unable to connect to the tower via a browser on the local network. Booting into the gui showed that there was an error for no network. Some searching on the forum pointed towards deleting the boot/config/network.cfg and network-extra.cfg. I deleted both and restarted to no avail. I am also using a different router than before, however I had not made any changes on the old one outside of setting a static IP for the server. Diagnostics attached.

The onboard network port isn't working because its driver is disabled. You have the Realtek r8125 driver plugin installed, and it blacklists the standard r8169 driver. But the r8125 plugin is only for the 2.5GbE RTL8125 chips. Your onboard port is an RTL8111/8168, which needs the r8169 driver. So no driver loads, and Unraid never sees a network interface.

To fix it, boot into the local GUI, go to Plugins and uninstall the Realtek r8125 driver plugin. That also removes the blacklist. Then reboot. The port should come up as eth0 and get an address from your new router by DHCP. You can set a static IP again afterwards if you want one.

Also, your server's clock is set to December 2017. Please correct the date and time in the BIOS. If it resets again after a power off, replace the CMOS battery.

If it still doesn't work after the reboot, please post new diagnostics.

Thank you for such an in depth explanation with easy to follow instructions. That worked perfectly.

Cheers.
