Can drives be moved within a server?

I moved a drive from my server into my expansion chassis.  When I restarted the server the drive wasn't found. 

 

Did I just have a bad reboot or aren't drives movable within the server?

    The answer is yes.  Drives can easily be moved.

     

    In recent 5.0-beta/rc releases (since beta8, I think), as long as the BIOS sees them, they will be found automatically, on older releases you'll need to use the "devices" page to assign the disk back to its proper logical "slot" in the array.

     

    If you have a recent release, it is possible the drive tray is defective, or has a bad connection with either its power or data cable.
