August 26, 201213 yr Hi, This is my first post here. Since last week, I have being trying to config my unraid machine. Currently, I'm using the latest RC version free, not the r8168 release. The mobo has a gigabit interface, and I tried to connect directly (without router). For some reason it was pretty unstable. The webGUI was pretty slow to render the page, and suddenly it stops to work. I was never able to write a file thru smb... Inspecting more, I was able to figure out the emhttp was failing due to segfault. It is the same error as some users have being posting here. I was able to really solve my problem by adding an old ethernet card, but it is 10/100..., and then unraid started to running fine.. I'm running plex and cachedirs without any problem. My mobo is this one: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68TM_LE/ Since unRAID doesn't recognize both eth interfaces, I can't test if this is the issue. The only thing that i notice until know is that ethtool reports me: supported ports [TP MII], while the gigabit onboard interface returns only MII... Dunno if this is a known issue. But as soon as get some time, I'm going to report both stats... and drivers being used....

The r8168 is intended to fix problems with certain onboard NIC chip sets. Especially since you are apparently just starting out, you should probably being at this release as it will be very, very close to what the first release of version 5.0 will look like! http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=21597.0
August 26, 201213 yr Author Yeah, I probably should go and test it. I've spent so much time on this issue that I wanna enjoy it a little. If I'm going to change the release, can I do it smoothly without have to run parity again? Or format drives? It is just overide files and let the config dir intact? Thanks, and I'm gonna check the 8168 driver thread...

Then reboot the machine. Be sure that you stop the array first!
