Replicating Transmission groups in UNRAID

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am very impressed with Plex/Transmission/Couchpotato/SickBeard on my unraid 5 setup. I am very new to all this but after an initial struggle and lots of reading, I am starting to see the light. The only real piece of the puzzle missing from my previous mac setup running Transmission is the the groups it allowed me to setup. I had groups for Movies (1 per language), TV shows, sports and apps. Transmission allowed me to move files (when completed) to the right Plex folder (or non-Plex) according the group, which was perfect as it closes the complete loop in a fully automated way. Unfortunately Transmission daemon does not have group, but I suspect this can be done with other apps. I have seen an app called sniper that seems to do exactly that, but unfortunately my understanding of packaging for unraid is, at the moment anyway, zero.

Has anybody got a solution working for this?

Many thanks!

you try utorrent? i much prefer it to transmission. plus you can assign labels, which i think is equivalent to what you are referring to. also how are you installing these apps? are you using unmenu, plg, or something else?

I had a look at torrent (installed as plugin) but quite a few issues:

1) Watch directory doesn't work. I tell it to look for a torrent in a specific folder but nothing happens

2) Labels cannot be assigned automatically based on rule. Without this it stops the automation I am after

3) I cannot see a way of specifying a destination folder for my finished torrent file based on label. Unless this has to be scripted, it's about the only thing I have seen but this becomes quite complicated

TX!
