I've started getting AFP disconnects - AFP is now unstable (not due to latest release, started happening in RC6). Nothing has changed on the server side, it has happened over time. I suspect it's due to copying files with large filenames.  It appears that the same issues occur when copying via SMB as well (except SMB doesn't crash, just spits errors).

 

Does Netatalk/SMB support extended attributes? What filename limitations are there?

 

Do you think it could be a FUSE issue with user shares?

    I get "Transport endpoint is not connected" too on unRAID5rc8a.

    I connect 2 Linux and 1 Windows computer via Samba to it.

    I know this is an old topic but I think I am having a similar problem and I, too, suspect that it is due to long file names. Have you figured this out?
