unable to find unraid while browzing network

Featured Replies

when I first got unraid I was able to open explore, click network and all devices on my network that were one were available. Pc's game consoles and even unraid. Fast forward to now and I am unable to find unraid when I click network.

I am able to find it if I click add network location and type in the ip address but not the other way.

using latest unraid and a win7 home premium laptop.

Under settings on the main menu, do you have local master set to Yes?  Windows requires a master browser election and what I had to do was set this to Yes so that my unraid box would be the local master browser otherwise I had the same problem as you.  It never showed up in my network browsing.
