I can't get my newly built unraid server to boot. I know that the motherboard is seeing the the usb flash drive. I'm fairly confident that I have set the flash drive up properly. I am trying to get it up and running on the free version before I fork over the $$ for the pro version.

What are you seeing?

Unfortunately, we are not mind-readers.  Please describe the steps you performed to load your flash drive, and then describe what you see on the system console as it attempts to boot.      So far, the description you gave is far too vague.  How do you know the motherboard is seeing the flash drive?

Lots of additional help is in the wiki :http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=UnRAID_Wiki

Specifically, look at this section in the user-contributed content: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=USB_Flash_Drive_Preparation

Change the boot priority order to first boot hard drive then in the hard drive selection choose your flash drive. Make sure you format your flash drive with the HP utility that is link in Wiki that Joe L. posted above.

Sorry about the crappy 1st post. I was in a hurry. I ended up using the HP utility and it solved my problem. I am formatting drives as we speak.
