  1. Phaze - First, thank you for everything. I've been using the SubSonic plugin from you for a few months. I've run into issue where is just stops working and I assume being a longtime SubSonic user is that I need to increase the allotted memory to SubSonic. Previously I would bump it up to 1 or 2Gb and it would help stop the random freezing for the large library that I have. If there any chance you can add that to the config page?
  2. Hey Guys - What is the new controller card to get these days to use with the SuperMicro X10SL7? I'm going to be building a new unRAID server and I'm doing it from ground up and then putting old server offsite. Thank you,
  3. Check out this thread that I started a few years ago. There is some great information on rsync configuration and I even go step by step how to add. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=13432.30
  4. Well, I think you're correct about it being 'Mover'd' I have /mnt/cache/apps directory create on my Cache drive. I never used the cache drive before... and I think it's moving all the shares. How do I make my 'apps' share remain on the cache drive and not get moved over via the Mover?
  5. Hey all - I had Subsonic up and working and twice now I get the following error when heading to the loading page: HTTP ERROR: 404 /WEB-INF/jsp/login.jsp RequestURI=/WEB-INF/jsp/login.jsp Powered by Jetty:// Last time I had to remove everything, reboot, reinstall to get it back working. 6. Wow. I just upgraded from 5rc12 to 5.0.6 to 6.0rc2... Been a user since 2004ish?... this is really amazing work fellas. Signed, Home User with little Linux/Network background.
  7. Easy fix... I originally installed unRAID 5.0-beta using a PC. I tried to do the upgrade via osX and that was creating some weirdness on the previous formatting via PC. So I went and dusted my old XP box off and was able to upgrade to 5.0.6 and then to 6-rc1 Thank you.
  8. Fantastic that this thread is still alive. Using it again and I forgot how I did this Thanks to the update by @wolferI99
  9. Hey All - Well it's been about 2-3 years of a perfect working system and the upgrade bug finally bit me. I wanted to upgrade to v6RC1, but figured I should get to 5.0.6 stable first as I've been riding 5rc12 for so long. I followed the upgrade directions from the wiki: 5.0-rc9 through 5.0-rc16c Prepare the flash: either shutdown your server and plug the flash into your PC or Stop the array and perform the following actions referencing the flash share on your network: Copy the files bzimage, bzroot, and syslinux.cfg from the zip file to the root of your flash device, overwriting the same-named files already there. Reboot your server. Once boot-up has completed, you should see "Stopped. Configuration valid." array status with all disks assigned correctly. Some users have reported having to re-run 'make_bootable' script on the flash. I pulled my USB drive, plugged into Mac, copied over files, ran Make_bootable. My array stops at a SYSLINUX prmopt after loading the SAS controller cards. I confirmed that USB is set to boot and priority. I removed all package/unmenu/etc from USB What should I do? I did backup everything on my flash prior to playing around... Thank you, Mike
  10. I tried getting digiKam to work on my OSX laptop, but had some problems. I'm looking into Lightroom, but I'm still playing around trying to get the catalog on the unRAID server to be connected to the laptop.
  11. Hey guys - I wanted to throw a topic out there and understand how everyone else is centralizing their photo library with unRAID and pointing to the Network attached drive... I've been doing CrashPlan dumps to my unRAID server and also to a linux box that I have offsite all form a MacBook Pro that was my main Photo hub. I've recently switching to a MacBook Air and sold off the Pro and now have a huge problem - the Air is only 128GB, which I didn't really care about because I wanted to load all my Photos onto my unRAID server and just link to Network drive. After researching for a few hours tonight, this is something that is not easy done without some serious workarounds. It's quite shocking to me as I was just going to point the Picasa or iPhoto to a network share... Oh how I can't believe this isn't something simple. So what are you all doing? I assume that a lot of users here use or want to use their unRAID as their main hub for their Photo library... Thank you,
  12. No you have to break all the clips to get to the internal drive. The seagate 4tb externals can easily be reused. I'm currently preclearing a few of the hitachi drives and the seagates.
  13. Hey guys - I built an unRAID server for a friend of mine which has 10x 3TB and 10 2TB drives in it. He is asking to replace all the 2TB's with 3TB's and I'm scratching head here trying to come up with the best way to approach this upgrade... Any thoughts or suggestions? Obviously, replacing and upgrading one-by-one would take FOREVER... Thank you,
