Bubba - 100Mbps Ethernet can only support a 34Mbps data stream?

 

Of course.  Latency, window size, etc., give you a mathematical upper bound that I don't care to calculate right now, but real worlds, about 34Mbps is a practical limit in the field.  If you have a 100/1000 switch doing store-and-forward between collision domains, it will be less.
