Split level problem

Featured Replies

I got another problem :)

disk 1 : 2tb : 69 gb free

disk 2 : 2tb : 4gb free

disk 3 : 2tb : 22gb free

disk 4 : 2tb : 2tb free

User share :

        -Movies

              - Movie X

                        - Movie Files

Alldata

        -Series

              -Serie X

                    -Season X

                          - Season Files

Split level is set to 3

Gues thats ok for movies ( each movie can be on different disk, but the movie itself sticks together)

But for series its not ok i think

Cause what happens now...

Serie Breaking bad (season 1,2 and3) are on disk 2 which has 4gb free

Now i have season 4 ready, but it cant be on disk 2

how do i fix this all?

Put a level in between 'Movies' and 'Movie X'.  Perhaps some categories of movies--- ('HD', 'DVD') or  ('Action', 'SiFi', 'Romance', etc).

That wont fix the problem

And i dont want that either

Am i right if i say i got these options:

- moving breaking bad to a disc with lots free space, so alle seasons can stick together

- chose splitlevel of 4, so that only seasons are together, but then i have problems with my movies..

or can i :

reorganize things for series like this:

- Alldata

  - Tvshows

      - Serie X

            -Season X

                - Season files

and keep split level 3

but i dunno if ican do this with available space now, and how ..

Yup, those are your options. Either keep each series together or add a level to the movies or remove a level from the TV series to allow the seasons to split.

And you will likely find you still have to move continuing seasons off the full drives.

im re-arranging my user share,

how do i move them from one to another without copying it for ages?..

for ex, my movies.. although i change them from user share.. they can actually stick on the disc where they are if you know what i mean

Use disk shares. It will take seconds if you move within the same disk. It will take whatever time the copy takes if you move between disks. Don't do more than 1 disk to disk copy at a time or it'll really go slow.
