Marvell 88E8053(PICE gb LAN controller) not working

Featured Replies

I'm a total unraid newbie and linux newbie, I know the worst kind. I checked the message forums and didn't see anyone with this problem. I did the following commands and could see the giga nic, but the dummy lights on the back of nic showed it doa.  Also I was able to use the internet with this NIC under vista so it works.

ethtool  eth0

lsmod

When I ran those commands I seen the sky2 kernel loaded.

I attached my syslog and devices. Any help is really appreciated.

thanks,

Kip

You have booted unRAID to a point, but after locating your Lexar Firefly flash drive, it says:

sda: unknown partition table

Something is wrong with the setup of your flash drive.  It therefore cannot continue with the rest of booting and configuring unRAID.  Please see the USB Flash Drive Preparation wiki page.

If you would like to detail what steps you took, you will probably receive advice as to what to do differently.

Once it can access the flash drive properly, it will correctly configure the networking.

I used the configure tool provided on that thread to make a USB-FDD otherwise I couldn't get my DFI board to boot w/o using that, no matter what bios settings I changed. I have Two USB fireflys straight from Tom with Pro license.

syslinux\makebootfat -o usb -Y -L UNRAID -b syslinux\ldlinux.bss -F -c syslinux\ldlinux.sys unraid

Was in the bat file for USB FDD, also I ran the bat file from windows, not sure that matters.

Have you tried the USB-ZIP bat file instead?
