ProSelect on unRaid

Featured Replies

We use ProSelect in our studio.  It is a high end sales and album creation tool for MAC and Windows for professional photo studios.  It has a small network server component to facilitate sharing some pricing files between multi-users.  This network server is Windows and Mac software developed in Real Studio and requires a always on computer reserved for it.  It would be good if it could run on unRaid.  The developer is not a Linux guy but has sent me a link to a linux compiled version.  I need some help from somebody who can do a test install and see if it just basically runs.  I have linked to the software below.

If you are able to get it to run, let me know what you needed to do to install it, since I am not a real Linux guy and I'll take it from there.

Hi Tim,

>Is there a way to run the Network Server on Linux??

Maybe. I don't know much about Linux however, I have have compiled a version for Linux (32 bit) so you can try it if you like. Here is the download link:

You might like to read this article about running 32 bit apps (this IS a 32 bit app) on 64 bit linux:

Not sure if the file locations for saving stuff will map across correctly - we can change this if it basically runs. Let us know how you get on.

cheers

Peter
