Server not responding

Featured Replies

I'm new to unRAID.  I got some problem with my new server and need help.

I can't access to unRAID menu ( http://tower, http://tower:8008 ).  I was able to telnet to it, I was able to access the share folders, I was able to connect it via iPhone iStat.  From iStat, I see from loading part, its around 3.xx.

It is running with version 5.0-rc10

Here the link to my log file >  https://www.dropbox.com/s/fgk1n0xj90l5g65/syslog_130123.rar

What shall I do?

Did you try logging in via ip address: 192.168.0.xxx (xxx=your servers ip) and can you login to the server via the console with your password?

jtech007, yes, i can login to console using root account.  I also able to copy the syslog via console command.

There is a powerdown command under root folder, I run it but no responds.

Thx mbryanr, I tried with the steps but still no luck to power it down, I just able to unmount most dev.  Finally, I push power button to turn it off.  Then I power on it, and start the array, it force to parity check.  Everything looks fine.  I can access to web GUI without issue at that point.

Then I start to preclear my 2 new added HDDs via SNAP menu.  10 mins later, I found that both http://tower or http://tower:8080 is not accessible again.

What else should I do?

Memory? There is 2 x 4GB DDR3, I run test mem b4 and passed.

Network? On board GBE NIC, with MTU=9000

Bios? Em... Which area shall I look into.?

Edit: syslog attached.

Still headache about this... anyone can help?

Where dose the pre-clear output appear? You may have to stop using SNAP.

  • Author

The preclear output was disappeared.  I just reboot it and preclear with command line (not using snap).  Seems ok til now, i still able to access to unMENU.

So far no problem now. Just don't use preclear function from SNAP, then everything back to normal!
