does the cache drive have to be formatted to rieserfs?

can it be formatted to say fat32 or ntfs with the r/w driver installed?

    The partition that will be used as the cache drive does need to be rieserfs. There is nothing stopping you from adding other partitions with whatever format you want on that drive though.
