March 1, 201313 yr Hi All, Just setup my License Key and installed a Cahce Drive. I have 3 3tb dirves (1 Parity, 2x data) and 1 500 gig Cache drive. Its been cleared and formatted. I tried to create a Share for "Cache Only" but it never creates the share. In looking at the syslog, i keep seeing Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: shcmd (113): mkdir '/mnt/user/appdata' Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower shfs/user: shfs_mkdir: assign_disk: appdata (28) No space left on device Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: _shcmd: shcmd (113): exit status: 1 Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: shcmd (114): rm '/boot/config/shares/appdata.cfg' Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: shcmd (115): :>/etc/samba/smb-shares.conf Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: shcmd (116): cp /etc/exports- /etc/exports Mar 1 01:04:24 Tower emhttp: Restart SMB... Its saying theres no space left?? But the drive is empty....a Any THoughts? I want to create an App drive to install SAB/CP/Sick on...but...not working. Whatever the issue is, it may also explain why im not seeing any files on the cache drive that ive moved to the User Shares. I turned on Use Cache to Yes on a few of my shares and attempted to move data to those shares (yes..the share not the disk share) but when viewing the Cache share, its empty. Any help???
March 1, 201313 yr can you manually copy files onto it? What version of unraid are you running? If 5x, maybe run the new permissions script in the utils area of the webgui
March 7, 201313 yr Author It appears that the Min. Cache size was set to high.....which I still dont understand as i thought that the defulat setting was 20G. I dropped it down to what I believe to be 2G and everything is working fine now....still odd that whatever the default is (2000000??) was too high.
