July 8, 201312 yr Hey guys. Busy running a PreClear and I can see this in Drive info: Device Model/Serial Mounted File System Temp Size Used %Used Free /dev/sda1 /boot * 4.00G 39.88M 1% 3.96G /dev/sdb 36°C 3.00T /dev/sdb1 36°C /dev/sdd 32°C 3.00T /dev/sdd1 32°C /dev/sdc 33°C 3.00T /dev/sdc1 33°C /dev/sde 37°C 3.00T /dev/sde1 37°C /dev/sdf 31°C 128.04G /dev/sdf1 31°C /dev/sdf2 31°C Are those partitions correct? As in sdd1 sdc1 sdd1 And the SDF is a 128gb SSD that Im going to use as a cache drive, but it has sdf1 and sdf2 and I think this is from when I used it in windows. How can I format this drive for use as a Cache drive in unRAID?
July 8, 201312 yr I do not see any problems with those partitions. Regarding sdf then simply adding it as a cache drive should reset the partitions. If you want you have the option of doing it earlier using something like fdisk or the pre_clear script. It IS possible to have multiple partitions on the cache drive as long as the first one is formatted in reiserfs format for use by uNRAID. This can be useful for special cases where you want some data that is outside unRAID control.
