I've just upgraded to 5rc16c and was wondering about the new permission script. I see that if the browser is closed that the process will terminate.

 

Will this also happen if the PC I start it on goes to sleep/standby?

 

BTW is there a way to run it via screen/CLI so that I can shut down my desktop and have it keep running?

    type "newperms"

     

    nohup & with output redirection might keep it going when the terminal closes.

    Installed screen and newperms and all went well.

     

    I was expecting a parity-check length process which is why I was worried. Turns out it only took about 30 mins.
