August 25, 201312 yr Hey all, Ive been using unraid for awhile now and this is the first issue I have had. Disk two went down I think. I have attached screens. I have taken the disk out re/installed. When I try to assign the disk, it comes up as "(SSD) 0". It is not a solid state. Any ideas? Andrew
August 26, 201312 yr Your screenshot says sdd, which is quite different than SSD. Run a smart report on sdd, which will probably fail, and post the results here. Detection of a device with a failure to get the model number is not a good sign. I think you need to buy another drive. Good news is, you were almost out of space anyway, so a 3TB drive will get you some breathing room. You need to get the array healthy quickly, right now you are at serious risk of losing data if another drive fails. In your situation, I'd shut down the server, source a 3TB drive, preclear it in another machine to make sure the new drive was healthy, and only then would I power up the server with the new drive installed and let it rebuild. If the bad drive is still under warranty, I'd preclear the RMA replacement and add it as your 9th drive, since you are really tight on space on all but one disk.
