I always get a little scared for non-protected stuff in the house. Fridge, air handler, etc.

...ugly...anything with a cooling compressor, like Fridge, AirCon, Heatpump is in danger with these frequent spikes.

You are usually save to switch on again after a period of 20mins after the compressor has been switched off/shut-down.

Most modern equipment has got a protection for that, but fridges >10years of age most likely have not.
