December 19, 200817 yr I sucessfully booted UnRaid 4.4 using a 512MB USB card. Everything seems to be working fine expect for the network. Following recommendations from other posts, I tried to: ls -l /dev/disk/by-label --> Successfully showed a device with the UNRAID label mount --> sucessfully showed that the device is mouted to /boot But the following two commands just return "no such device" ethtool eth0 ethtool -i eth0 That seems to indicate that my Ethernet card is not supported by UnRAId (v. 4.4). But this network card - LinkSys LNE100TX - is listed as fully supported at the Hardware list page. Is there any special step I must follow to enable this card? Thanks Daniel.

Thanks Daniel. what do you see when you type: lsmod It will list the loaded driver modules, including the one for the network card. If you think it is supported by an included driver, you might try to re-seat the card. It could be as simple as that. If there is an on-board network chipset on the motherboard, it must be disabled. Power-down and UNPLUG the PC from the wall outlet before you re-seat the network card. On most MB, even if powered down there is voltage present on lots of the connectors.
December 21, 200817 yr Author Thanks Joe. Here is the output of lsmod : md_mod ide_disk via82cxxxx ide_core So, the network card is not listed there. I also know that the Network card is OK because I can boot Windows XP (removing the USB drive) and access to the internet just fine. Is there any other option I should try before give up and look for a different network card? Peharps this network card was listed by mistake in the Hardware support page. Thanks Daniel.
December 21, 200817 yr You need to also post the output from lsmod after booting with 4.3....with working network.
December 23, 200817 yr Author Looks like 4.3 did the trick! My network card is now detected and I can use UnRaid with no problems at all! So for some reason the Linksys network card is not compatible with 4.4 but it works well with the 4.3 release. Thanks! Daniel.

Please post the output of "lsmod" from 4.3.3 so Tom might see what network chipset driver was not working/loaded when you booted 4.4. Might be a good idea to send him a PM once you know. Joe L.
