October 11, 201312 yr Author OK, so I finally got around to clearing my disks. I kept things simple, preclear -A and then the other 2 I added M 4 to get the email alerts that I got working again... I ran 3 disks, a 2 TB WD EARS disk, a Toshiba 3TB and a Seagate 3TB. All ran through fine, pre-clear reports the all good, nothing failing now. However, one thing I did find interesting is the reported starting sector, so I wanted to make sure this was correct for my 3 drives. The WD reports a starting sector of 64, which I believe is where I want to be for 4K aligned, however, the Seagate and Toshiba reported a starting sector of 1. So, the question is, which is right or are they both OK, 64 and 1? Just thought to double check things before adding everything into the array.
