aptalca
I am confused about the two plugin folders on the 5.0 stable there is one plugins folder directly under /boot and there is another under /boot/config/plugins (where the plugin data is still stored) I can put plg files in either one (it seems) and they get installed at boot just fine. I realize that the config/plugins one is the one used in the betas and the release candidates and this /boot/plugins is a new stable version one. However many plugins need to exist under config/plugins to self identify for updates (otherwise in the gui they show "unknown" for the currently installed version) So what is the deal with the new one?? Are all future plugins supposed to reside there? or is there some sort of a difference between the two folders?? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Influencer
/boot/plugins is for system plug-ins while /boot/config/plugins is for third party plug-ins. Quote Link to comment
aptalca
Thanks so much for the explanation. I went ahead and moved all of the user plugins to the config folder I guess at this point, only the webgui (if updated to new) plugin and package should be in the system one Quote Link to comment
