[SOLVED] parity Disk Recurring Failure/DISK_DSBL + empty folder problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

i have a recurring parity disk failure DISK_DSBL. the disk is 3tb Seagate ST3000DM001, and its new (maybe 2 month old). if i restart and rebuild it, it works fine for about a week, and then again this happens...

what does this mean, and what should i do with it?

the other problem i have is one of the folders is suddenly appears to be empty (there is something going on with MD7/disk7/sdf, which is exactly where this particular folder is located).

log shows read problems...but disk 7 is not disabled or something, it appears healthy...

I'm not sure if its even related to the parity drive problem, but lately, if something doesn't work, i always find the parity drive malfunctioning...so...

anyway, i attached the log, and my full hardware

Thanks!

Vadim

I've got a feeling the drive is dead...

its unseen by disk util in mac os x

nor does bios recognise it

and i have a SMART error during the boot (like before unraid), i have to press F1 to continue

so...i guess ill have to get a new disk...

p.s. i will never buy anything except WD ever again....

it should be under warranty. RMA it
