[Solved] Network adapter issues

Featured Replies

Hello.

I have the ASRock FM2A88X+ board with the Atheros onboard LAN.  I understand that isn't supported yet, so I added a PCI card that is supported:  Linksys LTE100x.

I've also disabled the onboard LAN.

However, I still don't show any devices.  I've do cne the ifconfig ethO, eth1, etc. and nothing.

I can access the tower console from putty, but can't get it to pull an IP address since it appears it wont recognize the pci card.

[solved] The ASRock FM2A88X+ board works fine with 5.0, except for the onboard LAN.  6.0 may have the driver for the Kernel, but the onboard NIC is an Atheros and I've read there are memory leaks on the driver.  I installed the Intel Gigabit card ($25 on Amazon) and I'm up 100% for all unRAID functions, unmenu and Plex.

I went looking for spec's on this card and could not find anything on it.  Please post a link to a site with some specs on the card.

You should also attach a syslog for people who are capable of interpreting it.  The syslog usually contains a lot of clues as to what the problem is.  For info on how to do this, see the first post in this thread:

The mobo is a ASRock FM2A88X+ and it shows the LAN is a Qualcomm Atheros Killer E2200 series.

I also have a PCI lan card that I can't get working that is a Linksys LNE100TX.  Nothing under any eth.

syslog.txt

The syslog shows 1 minute of activity. Attach a longer syslog.

I let it run for 5 mins.  Was that good enough?

No. Look at the first time stamp and the last.
