Help Samba won't start anymore

Featured Replies

Suddenly my server is not accessible for my media player.

Powered up my computer...same thing.

GUI is available.

See attached log.

Luckily I have unMENU.

SAMBA is STOPPED, Shared drives will not be visible on the LAN.

Trying to start SAMBA from the unMENU GUI.

Run check disk on the flash in a PC or Mac. If it still does not work then disable all add-ons including the new GUI. See my sig.

Check disk says it's ok.

But I noticed a file in the root of the stick called "core" that took up the whole space (~450 MB) of my thumb drive.

I deleted it, disabled all scripts and plugins but unMENU.

Problem still the same...

Solved it.

Searched the forum and found this.

Cost me my entire evening to solve it... :(

Damn.
