[SOLVED] Cannot Access unRAID GUI on one computer but others work fine??

Featured Replies

I can access the stock 5.0.5 web gui on all but one computer on my network. I have no problems accessing unmenu or any plugins from this computer.

ie.

192.168.50.80 = Doesn't Load

192.168.50.80:8080 = Works

192.168.50.80:8081 = Works

192.168.50.80:8082 = Works

All of my other computers will load up 192.168.50.80 just fine. I am at a lose on why the ports work just fine but the standard gui doesn't work, (oh and I can access my router by typing its address just fine...) This is a new computer so maybe the network card isn't compatible with unRAID or maybe I installed the wrong driver?? it is an Intel® 82579LM Gigabit Network Card in a laptop if that helps.

What OS is on the system that fails versus the other systems?

The system that fails is windows 7 and two other windows 7 computers will connect and also my iPhone.

Update I tried the following:

wired connection only = No luck

Wireless connection only = no luck

Conclusion = probably not a driver issue

Chrome = No luck

IE = no luck

Conclusion = probably not a browser issue

Restarting unRAID = no luck

I am so confused on why all internet pages including unRAID ports work but no the stock web gui  :o

Anyone have any other ideas on what to try? I am planning on loading a live CD of Ubuntu on the machine later tonight and will post back with results.

The IP address in the OP, 192.186.1.50, is this a typo?

Usually home networks are 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x

Whois shows 192.186.1.1 belonging to Federal Online Group LLC.

What is your Gateway IP?

  • Author

Actually those are all typos. Gateway is 192.168.50.1 and unRAID is 192.168.50.80. I have tried both the ip and server name (ie tower) but neither want to work.

More tests:

I loaded an Oracle VM VirtualBox with Linux (Ubuntu) and I could not load unRAID web gui on the VM either.

I am not sure what to try next?

Uninstall (not just disable) your security suite temporarily. I have seen multiple instances of aggressive firewalls blocking web servers that are inside the LAN.

Uninstalling Nod ESET fixed it!  ;D Not sure what I have setup differently on the new computer vs the two other windows 7 machines with ESET... Anyway thanks jonathanm for your suggestion!
