February 20, 201412 yr I bought two of the Tier 3 licenses a while back, and am perfectly happy with them, but I will never use more than 10 drives in a system. I bought them for the features, not the drive count. Just wondering if there are plans to offer a midrange license version that contains all of the features, but a lesser amount of drives? I would like to build a small four-disk array for my own workstation use, apart from the family's servers, and would love to see a midrange license.
February 20, 201412 yr The Plus license is a good compromise. Note that if you buy a 2-pack when you buy your licenses, the price/license is much more nominal. And if you also take advantage of Tom's current offer of an additional extra license for $30, it's even better. Factoring in the $30 for another key, that means you can have 3 Pro licenses right now for $59.67 each [$149 for the 2-pack, plus $30 for the extra license] or 3 Plus licenses for $43 each.
