Help! Disabling IRQ #19.... and then network link slows.

Featured Replies

I'm running unraid 5.0rc12 with the following configuration:

Intel Core i7-2600 (Sandybridge) 3.3 GHz CPU

ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 Motherboard

8 GB RAM (G.Skill Ripjaws 1333 MHz)

Unraid 5.0rc12 supporting 12 TB

Periodically, I have this issue where streaming to my HTPC via a hard cat 5e cable causes streaming issues with constant buffering. It's clearly not a problem with the network since the two are connected via a network cable through a gigabit switch.

I finally tracked down the problem with my server and noticed that before the slowdown occurs, my unraid box gives me an error "Disabling IRQ #19" .. I've posted the error log leading up to the problem and it looks like it begins when the kernel tries to access IRQ 19?  :o

Can someone more experienced take a look and tell me if there is a way that I might prevent this from happening? Is this a problem with a conflict in the motherboard, RAM, or do I need to install a new network card in lieu of the unboard gigabit LAN port, which I am currently using.

How do you monitor your server - Unmenu over web or cli?

@superloppy -- I use the CLI. i have the server hooked up to an external display and I saw the "Disabling IRQ#19" pop up on the display.

I then checked the syslog and that's where I found this info.

@dgaschk : Yes, I have a PCI-e RAID card. Could this be causing the problem?

Yes. Check for firmware updates and BIOS update for MB.
