[SOLVED] New WD 4T RED not listed in unRaid

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Running version 5.0

I have just added 3 WD 4T Red drives to my unraid machine, but i don't see them in the list of drives.

My machine started normal and my array is up and running.

I see the drives listed in the bios when i checked the boot.

When i use the Fdisk -l command i get this list.

Attached is the syslog.

Hope somebody can give me a tip where to start looking on why the new drives are not in the unraid drive list.

:o I'm just a DUMMY  :o did not look if there was a drive to assign  :-[ :-[ :-[

So problem solved  ;D

syslog.zip

Noticed a few things in the syslog:

The drives are listed as hdx instead of sdx. Enable AHCI for these drives in your BIOS.

You have simplefeatures installed. It is not compatible with 5.0. Use Dynamix instead.

Run checkdisk on your flash drive.

Thx for the advise, i will surly look into it.

As you can read in my modified topic, not finding the drive was my own stupid mistake, i seem to be able to assign them to the array.
