CPU Useage

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I have unRAID running as a KVM guest on Arch.  It works perfectly, however when unraid is doing nothing and all drives are spun down, on the host there is two instances of the unRAID and they area always running at 15-20% of the CPU each.  So my CPU is "idling" at ~40%.

Any idea as to why that is?

The unRAID guest has a USB controller, a PCI controller, and a Ethernet controller passed through to it.  I don't use a bridge because my motherboard has two ethernet ports, and I was noticing slow downs with the bridge.

is it really doing nothing ?  no plugins or other vm's or servers accessing it ? cache_dirs running ?
