please help, i am not sure what to do next? (tried couple of SMART test from command line, such as follows (attached zipped syslog):

all seems ok

after reboot it was blue..

so i started the array and now it does parity-sync.

 

how to proceed?

I just had exactly the same thing.

 

If the hdd has failed, then I'm not sure the value of rebuilding. But now that you are rebuilding I do not know the consequences of stopping it.

 

Do you have a spare drive ready in case the drive is bad?

 

I'm waiting for the same answers as you, hopefully garycase will chime in when he gets online.

after i went on cables , it rebuilt the parity . now it seems all OK.
