June 25, 201412 yr I installed a cache drive using an out of service drive I had previously used with unRaid. I can not format this drive. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
June 25, 201412 yr Author The sys log is attached. I'm running Ver 5.0.4. I pulled the drive to replace it with a larger one. As I remember there were no problems with the drive at the time of replacement. Sys_Log.txt

Also, SimpleFeatures is not compatible with 5.0.4. Suggest you replace it with Dynamix.
June 26, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the suggestions. Concerning the Safe Mode option, this is not showing up as an option on the console start up screen. All I see are the two familiar choices, unRaid OS, and Mem Test+. I upgraded to the latest version 5.0.5 and still no luck. I also removed all packages and plugins, did an error check, and mem test which did no good. I am going to try a new HDD, but I would like to know why the Safe Mode option is not appearing. Thanks again
June 26, 201412 yr You probably updated your USB stick by only copying the 2 bz files. I think you need to copy menu. Cfg Sent from a mobile device, sorry for any typos.
June 26, 201412 yr I am going to try a new HDD, but I would like to know why the Safe Mode option is not appearing. The boot options are specified in the syslinux.cfg file.
June 26, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the feedback. I checked the syslinux.cfg file in the boot directory, and saw the two options for the OS and Mem test. I then checked the syslinux.cfg file in the latest download and it showed the Safe Mode option in addition to the other two. What I will do is to copy the new syslinux.cfg file to my flash. That should correct the problem. As for the formatting problem, I bought a new HDD to use as a cache drive and was able to format it. The drive I was trying to use was about nine years old, but was good when I replaced it with a larger drive, so I don't know what the problem could have been. Anyway, all is well, thanks to you. I appreciate you help. Thanks
