mickeykool
I currently have an unraid server where I keep my movies and other important files. I have an external drive I been using to make second back up of my important files aka pictures and etc but its soon full. I'm running into of how should I expand my second back up disk. Should I just build another unraid server and just keep both servers sync to each other, is this a good idea? Link to comment
garycase
A 2nd server is the most convenient way to do it. You can then just run your favorite synchronization utility to keep the 2 servers in sync. I run a small batch file that (a) wakes up the backup server; and then (b) runs SyncBack to update the backups. Link to comment
garycase
... by the way, with the newest 6TB drives, you can build a 12TB backup server using the free version of UnRAID Link to comment

garycase
You're welcome. Note also that, although I always suggest including a parity drive, it's not absolutely necessary for your backup server ... so you could build a 12TB server with only 2 of the 6TB drives if cost is a factor. I like having BOTH my primary and backup servers parity protected, but it does add a bit to the cost. Link to comment
