shutdown unraid via web?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to shutdown unraid by using internet explorer? or remotely?

Reason is my server is somewhere upstair with no keyboard and mouse attached. It is difficult for me to login to linux and shut it down each time i  do not need to access.

That is in fact the recommended way to shutdown!

If you start up the web GUI, and select the option to stop the array; then after the array has been stopped the option to shutdown the server will be enabled.

Haha, thanks man.... didnt notice.

My usual way is press power On/Off button on my HP microserver and linux will auto term kill the server :P.

Will try tonite!

Do you also have the BIOS on your server set for Wake-On-LAN?

If not, do that.  Then you can also turn on your server from any PC on your network by simply sending a magic packet to the server.  For example, on a Windows machine, you can simply download the free wol utility;  then just create a shortcut on your desktop to turn on your server -- e.g. something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Utilities\wol.exe"  00:30:44:B1:A6:15

where the numbers at the end are your UnRAID server's MAC address

So you could have an Icon on your desktop that executed that command, and it would turn on your server.
